Mars Engulfed : What’s happened to Mars? In 2001, Mars underwent a tremendous planet-wide dust storm – one of the largest ever recorded from Earth. To show the extent, these two Hubble Space Telescope storm watch images from late June and early September (2001) offer dramatically contrasting views of the martian surface. At left, the onset of smaller “seed” storms can be seen near the Hellas basin (lower right edge of Mars) and the northern polar cap. A similar surface view at right, taken over two months later, shows the fully developed extent of the obscuring global storm. Although this storm eventually waned, in recent days a new large dust storm has been taking hold of the red planet. via NASA

FORGOT to provide Evidence

In Austria, we call kittens at that age “Autodromkatzerl”, which translates to “bumper car kittens”, because of the way their tail sticks up. It’s not a really common word, but a very cute one, I think

this is a genuinely delightful bit of knowledge, thank you for sharing this!! omg

friendly reminder that pets’ bodies do not handle fat the same way human bodies do. obesity in animals often greatly reduces their life span. also, body positivity does not to apply to your pets, so discussing the dangers of them being obese is not “body shaming” them

if you have a pet that is morbidly obese due to overfeeding, you are actively participating in animal neglect at best by failing to provide them with the appropriate diet

stop acting like concern over an animal’s obesity is in any way similar to body shaming humans

Additionally, your pet does not have a choice re: its body weight. You’re making those decisions for your pet without its consent. Your pet cannot consent to the lifestyle you choose for it.

The least you can do is be basically decent and make that lifestyle a healthy one that will provide your pet with a long, comfortable and happy existence.
